Nova Scotia is also very murky in some areas with Halifax averages 197 foggy days per annum.The average annual temperatures of Nova Scotia during Spring is 1 °C (34 °F) to 17 °C (63 °F) while in summers the temperature ranges between 14 °C (57 °F) to 28 °C (82 °F). Autumn is a bit cooler where the mercury remains within 5 °C (41 °F) to 20 °C (68 °F) mark. Winters are extreme like any other place in Canada and the temperature falls to −20 °C (−4 °F).
Halifax has the warmest summers in Canada with recurrent foggy conditions along the coast line. One should also bear in mind before visiting this place that due to its location, Nova Scotia is quite prone to hurricanes and tropical storms during autumn and summer. However, these storms are usually weak due to cold waters when they reach the region’s coastal areas.
